About the Job
Commercial Pool Management is looking for outdoor-loving, detail-oriented, self-driven individuals to open, clean and service swimming pools for the 2025 swim season. Multiple W2 openings are available. Gain a certification to add to your resume and skill set!
You can help ensure neighborhood communities have a fun and safe summer, all while learning new skills and engaging in worry-free work in tranquil settings. No previous experience required.
What You Can Expect:
- This Seasonal Route-Based Role from March 3rd to October 15th - every day local crew meetings in your region followed by your route in the county closest to your home (Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett)
- Opening Pools: March and April involve a busy start to the season, where you'll work in teams to open pools, undergo on-the-job training, deep clean patio furniture, get assigned your core pools, service through pollen season, and prepare for health inspections.
- Servicing Pools: May through August brings a regular, manageable pace as each technician independently owns and services their assigned weekly routes. (Typically, 5 – 7 pools per day)
- Closing Pools: From September to October, we wind the season down with balancing pool servicing and pool closures in preparation for winter.
- Work Hours: Days start with a 6:30 am crew meeting. Most days are aimed to end by 2:30pm, but it is expected that you continue working until the entirety of your route has been completed for that day. It may take some time for your route to become routine and predictable.
- Certification & Training: Receive web-based training, on-the-job training, leading to Certification as a Pool Service Technician.
- End of Season Completion Bonus: Those who complete the full season (Oct 15th, 2025) will receive an end of season completion bonus based on attendance and performance.

**Though this is a seasonal role, we are always looking for exceptional year-round employees as well as recurring seasonal employees.
General Responsibilities:
- Open pools as a part of a crew – pull covers, clean pools, handle chemicals and set up furniture.
- Service pools ongoing – own and manage a route to keep pools well maintained & clean throughout the summer so the community pools you manage can have a safe and fun summer.
- Close pools as a part of a crew – Put covers on, put away furniture, and winterize pools.
- Attend full team meetings at 6:30 am at your assigned location to plan for the day and discuss any real-time issues
- Participate fully in on-the-job training and skills assessment to become capable to solo-service pools
Specific Duties & Skills:
- Perform routine maintenance on swimming pools and related equipment
- Clean and maintain pool filters, pumps, and chemical feeders
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with chemicals and equipment. Test water chemistry and adjust chemical levels as needed
- Conduct thorough pool cleanings, including skimming debris, vacuuming surfaces, and brushing walls
- Backwash and clean pool filters
- Build mechanical knowledge to understand how pool equipment operates
- Utilize small power tools and hand tools for repairs and maintenance of pool equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits and maintenance performed.
Requirements:
- Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active vehicle insurance. Trucks and SUVs are suggested, but not required.
- A working smartphone.
- Willingness to undergo a background check, including a driving record check.
- Like working outdoors and commitment to work in diverse weather conditions.
- Physically fit, capable of repeatedly walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work well independently and with others.
- Be on time, have good communication, and a positive attitude.
- Fluent in English (ESL applicants welcome but must be able to communicate).
- Must be able to provide appropriate I9 verification documents on Day 1 of employment (ex. Driver’s license, SSN, birth certificate, and/or passport).
