Responsibilities:
- Hands on management and oversight in all day-to-day accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed asset accounting, and revenue/expense recognition
- Maintain books and records (shareholders/members, capital accounts, registered entities, formation documents)
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages
- Review financial results with management and provide a complete understanding of variances
- Manage complex ad hoc analysis and special assignments
- Lead and supervise new process implementations
- Manage vendor relationships
- Oversee bookkeeping and cash management
- Interacting with tax accountants and auditors
- Summarize and analyze prospective tenant financial statements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 7 years experience with real estate accounting and finance (involvement with property management and/or construction accounting)
- Strong GAAP knowledge and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Sage 300 a major plus
- Strong attention to detail and an entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for process improvement
Leadership:
- Reports to the CFO
- Overall responsibility for accounting operations
- Oversee Property Accountant role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
