This role is a designated succession pathway to the CFO position within five years.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will lead financial operations, ensure compliance and reporting excellence, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize asset performance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial oversight of the senior living investment portfolio, including six existing entities and future acquisitions.
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting and financial professionals.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison to third-party senior living operators, ensuring transparency and alignment on performance goals.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of consolidated financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for internal stakeholders, investors, and lenders.
- Manage cash flow planning, capital calls, and investor distributions.
- Ensure compliance with loan covenants, debt structures, and investment agreements.
- Lead risk management initiatives across the portfolio, with a focus on internal controls and operational integrity.
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalization efforts from a financial standpoint, including due diligence and transition planning.
- Coordinate tax reporting and investor communications in partnership with external accounting firms (e.g., K-1s).
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and investment management software for enhanced reporting and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate 1099 filings and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, ideally in real estate investment or private equity.
- Deep knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, and fund structures.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party operators and driving asset-level performance.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Familiarity with financial platforms such as Yardi or similar investment management tools.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement and strategic thinking.
