Job Overview:
We are preferably seeking a skilled Low Voltage Security Technician to join our team. Willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage security systems in various settings.
Duties:
- Install and maintain low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues
- Test circuits and components
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations
- Handle cabling and wiring tasks efficiently
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and computer hardware for installations
Requirements:
- Proficiency in electrical work with a focus on low voltage security systems
- Experience with power tools and hand tools for installations
- Familiarity with voltages, currents, and resistance measurements using a voltmeter
- Knowledge of cabling techniques and telecommunication systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
- Understanding of NEC regulations related to low voltage systems
