Job Description: Drafting Team Manager
We are seeking an experienced Drafting Team Manager to lead our drafting team and oversee the creation of technical drawings and plans. The ideal candidate for the Drafting Team Manager position will have strong project management skills, proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor, excellent customer interaction capabilities, and proven leadership and management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead drafting projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with other departments and teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor to review and approve drafting drawings and designs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the drafting team.
- Customer Interaction:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding drafting requirements, understanding their needs and ensuring they are met.
- Manage customer expectations and address any issues or concerns.
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the drafting team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve drafting processes and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in drafting projects.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations in drafting practices.
- Implement and maintain best practices for drafting design and operations.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including team members, customers, and senior management.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Vocational or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in drafting management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, and other drafting software.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
