CSE, Inc specializes in structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication and erection. We seek an experienced Production Manager / Shop Foreman to join our team.
Job Description
As a shop foreman you will be required to supervise shop personnel. Oversee the maintenance and management of all equipment and ensure the efficiency of operations in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. Responsibilities include managing shop production, inventory, enforce safety policies, and ensure quality workmanship.
1.) Training, supervising, evaluating shop employees.
2.) Assign employee work duties
3.) Ensuring all shop employees adhere to safety policies and company procedures
4.) Manage shop hours versus budget estimates
5.) Must be proficient with AISC procedures, read detail fabrication drawings, order materials and comply with AISC procedures.
6.) Exceptional documentation and organization skills
7.) Manage and order shop consumables, gases, welding supplies, maintenance
8.) Address employee issues.
9.) Manage employees’ daily work and time sheets
10.) Manage shipping and receiving
11.) Quality control inspection of shop employees’ work versus fabrication drawings, welding and tolerances.
12.) Document bills of lading and shipping.
Requirements
1. 5 Years of applicable work experience is required
2. Properly educated for this position; capable of intelligent communication, both verbal and written communication
3. Vocational training, Certified Welder AWS D1.1, fabrication skills.
4. Valid driver's license, clean, sober, drug testing as required
5. Proficient with knowledge of AWS and AISC.
