Job Title: General Auto Service Tech
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Is responsible for upfitting, inspecting and testing vehicles following Canyon Truck Standards. Completing assigned duties such as flatbed installations, service body installations, electrical installations and/or diagnostics and hydraulic installation and/or diagnostics. Minimum welding and fabrication.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete vehicle upfits on new assigned orders.

Consistently Inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or service.
- Properly diagnose issues per the customer’s concern.

Able to perform the following according to manufactures specifications:
- Flatbed installation
- Service body installation
- Air compressor installation
- PTO & Pump installation
- Dump body installation
- Properly and efficiently install electrical wiring on assigned jobs
- Diagnose electrical symptoms
- May or may not install and/or diagnose hydraulics
- Weld and or fabricate parts

QUALIFICATIONS – Unless indicated otherwise, these are the knowledge, skills and/or abilities that are required.
- 18 years or older, valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Mechanical Aptitude
- 1 year related experience
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required and is an essential job function.
