What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cycle Count position at Commercial Vehicle Group?
The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility. The Cycle Counter will perform regular counts to identify possible discrepancies in inventory quantities as well as monitor inventory levels and product movement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Adherence to established safety policies, procedures and practices

- Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
- Maintain product identification and location program.
- Assist in the research inventory discrepancies and resolve in a timely manner.
- Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
- Document damaged product and/or warehouse concerns to supervisor.
- Ensuring all labeling requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Highlight areas of concern associated with inventory problems and highlight statement of facts surrounding the property loss, damage, destruction, or additional of materials.
- Identify and remove outdated or obsolete materials from active shelves in order to protect the integrity of the company.
- Effectively works with others to ensure a smooth flow of product.
- May support shipping/receiving, as needed, with loading/unloading trucks and material preparation for shipping or storage.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of or ability to obtain forklift operator license.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift Operator License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
