Job Summary
The Area Manager holds overall responsibility for the janitorial program in numerous facilitate in his / her geographical area. This is an afternoon / evening shift, and many include weekends and evening shift and may include holidays as well as a rotating on call schedule. This position is based in Cleveland with local travel daily throughout Northeast Ohio area. The majority of work hours are after 5pm, there will be times that you will be rounding with clients or interviewing candidates on day shift, however this position requires evening work, the split of day and night shift is day 20% night 80%. If you can not work evenings this position is not for you. This does require evening inspections, trainings, audits, and assistance to clean for call offs, especially last-minute call offs if all floaters have assignments.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:
- Perform customer service duties and handle all client requests in a timely manner with follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
- Supervise, train, motivate, and develop teams.
- Perform customer service duties and oversee all client requests or complaints in a timely manner.
- Work with the HR department to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained.
- Arrange for coverage in the event of an employee’s absence even if that coverage needs to be you, you will need to cover for open cleaning assignments when needed this is a requirement of the position.
- Disciplinary action and / or termination of employees when necessary, following the guiding principles of the company and always acting in a respectful manner.
- Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met.
- Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
- Maintain budgetary compliance at all accounts, specifically with labor hours/supplies/ equipment and ensure all products are received.
- Oversee scheduling for all employees working in your accounts and special project work when requested or needed.
- Ensure all janitorial equipment is in good working condition and well maintained, performing minor repairs when needed.
- Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
- Maintain budgetary compliance at all accounts whenever necessary.
