POSITION SUMMARY

This part-time Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor will play a vital role in educating and training apprentices in electrical theory and practices. Utilizing the Mike Holt curriculum, the instructor will provide hands-on instruction and foster a positive learning environment for students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Teach electrical apprenticeship courses using the Mike Holt curriculum, covering topics such as electrical theory, codes, safety practices, and practical applications.
  • Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and hands-on demonstrations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices, encouraging their professional development.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom and lab environment.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the educational program.
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies relevant to electrical work.

  • Create a positive learning environment for apprentices. 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Familiarity with the Mike Holt curriculum and electrical code standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring future electricians.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings. 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Journeyman electrician or higher certification with significant field experience required.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience is preferred.
