COMMISSARY DELIVERY - MURFREESBORO TN

Commissary orders are delivered directly to inmates housed in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. This is not a bulk package drop off but instead requires each customer’s order be delivered directly to him/her. Each staff person must be able to remain on their feet for the entire delivery session, assist in moving large rolling carts containing orders, and lift the order bags from inside the carts to carry to the delivery tables or cell doors to process delivery.

BACKGROUND CHECK: Due to background clearance requirements, we aren’t allowed to hire anyone who has an unresolved criminal charge, anyone who has had a misdemeanor conviction in the last three years, anyone on probation or anyone who has ever had a felony conviction.

3:30pm Tuesday and Wednesday until finished which has most recently taken around three hours.

Pay is $25 per hour for four hours minimum when a complete delivery session is worked. If it takes 3:30pm until 6:00pm, you still get paid for four hours. If a delivery session ever exceeds four hours, you would be paid for the additional time at the rate of $25 per hour. As a low-hour part-time position, there are no additional benefits such as sick pay, 401K, etc.

BONUSES

We pay a $200 bonus each time you work eight consecutive delivery days.

We normally do not deliver at RCSO the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day; however, all delivery staff who started prior to October 1st are paid for that one week off as long as they work all delivery sessions both the previous and following week. Those who do not work all delivery sessions both the week before and week after Christmas, are not paid for that week we are closed.

As long as you have worked for three months prior to your birthday, there is a $300 birthday bonus.

Working all available delivery sessions for a year adds up to $12,000.

There is a one-week hold back period on paychecks. If company-provided shirts are not returned at the end of employment, the cost for those shirts will be deducted from your final paycheck.
