Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Consultant-ABA (BC-ABA) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to enhance their quality of life. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis will be essential in assessing patient needs, collecting data, and collaborating with families and other professionals to foster positive behavioral changes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each individual's care.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in behavior management.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends and research in the field of behavior analysis.
Skills
- Strong background in special education, particularly working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Proficient in applied behavior analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Experience in medical documentation and maintaining accurate medical records.
