Salary: $22 - $25
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM; Months of June - August hours change to 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM (Will need to be available to work overtime as needed during the summer and possibly some weekend days)
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee customer interactions and documentation to ensure the smooth movement of cargo.
- Quote, book, and monitor both domestic and international cargo shipments.
- Delegate tasks effectively to optimize department efficiency and employee productivity.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and other departments to manage shipments efficiently.
- Support the sales team by addressing issues, identifying opportunities, and helping meet customer retention goals.
- Be a proactive, organized individual with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Work independently when needed, while also being a valuable team player.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in logistics; air freight and export experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing competing, time-sensitive situations.
- Must be eligible to pass TSA background check.
- Proficient with basic computer skills, including email, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong knowledge of geography to identify optimal freight forwarding routes.
- Excellent customer service and vendor relations skills, both over the phone and in person.
