About the Role:
Commodity is seeking an Art Director to define the creative vision for our paid ads across all platforms. You will report to the Head of Brand Creative and collaborate with the creative team and marketing leads to produce work that redefines fragrance advertising—modern, untraditional, and visually unforgettable. Responsibilities:
- Research and ideate exciting, on-brand advertising campaigns in collaboration with creative and marketing teams
- Oversee the creation of dynamic creative assets, including both static and motion content, ensuring they align with campaign direction and brand guidelines
- Lead and oversee photo and video shoots, from pre-production to final execution
- Source and collaborate with external creative talent, such as photographers, videographers, and stylists, as needed
- Ensure cohesive brand visuals across Email/SMS, social, and paid ads
- Contribute to design needs during high-volume periods to meet deadlines
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in design, social media, and digital content creation
Qualifications:
- 3 years as an Art Director or 5 years as a Senior Designer in an agency or in-house creative team (luxury, beauty, or fashion experience preferred)
- Experience in production: both photo and video shoots
- Comprehensive understanding of the creative process—from kickoff to delivery
- Proven experience managing end-to-end ad campaigns across digital, social, and print channels
- Up-to-date on art trends, digital design, and social media platform guidelines
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with After Effects or Premiere Pro is a plus
- Strong project management skills—capable of balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines without compromising quality
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to explain creative decisions and provide mentorship
- Nice to Have: Photography, video editing, and retouching skills to support production needs
- HYBRID CANDIDATE: must be able to commute to office a minimum of one time per week.
