Purpose for Position
To perform a combination of tasks which maintain motel linens to be clean and orderly, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Applicants must be able to deal with the general public, customers and employees with tact and courtesy, and must be punctual, dependable, and flexible. Most importantly we are looking for energetic people with a positive attitude who are excited to work as part of a team!
- Maintains standards of guest service quality and hospitality.
- Contributes to the guest satisfaction and perception of service.
- Sorts and organizes all soiled linen for wash.
- Places badly soiled linen aside for extra work.
- Prioritizes linen to alleviate delays in laundry supplies.
- Places all types of linen and towels in washing machine as instructed.
- After linens have completed wash cycle, place in dryer as instructed.
- Advises housekeeper of stained/worn linen.
- Soaks badly soiled linen and takes corrective action to remove stains.
- Folds, stacks and returns linen to upstairs storage room.
- Maintains a clean and orderly laundry room.
- Wipes down washers and dryers and cleans floors daily.
- Keeps count of discarded linen.
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
- Performs any other duties as required.
