We are looking for an experienced Construction General Superintendent to work directly with company founders and investors to deliver exceptional projects to the communities in which we work and live in Maine.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the high quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including trade partners, clients, and team members. Projects are located within 45 minutes of Brunswick, ME.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and laborers to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
- Oversee contract negotiations and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Utilize construction management software for project scheduling, tracking progress, and managing resources effectively.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera or similar tools to ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Review schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
- Monitor budgeting processes to control costs and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools for effective planning and execution.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents effectively.
