Common Ground Wellness Cooperative has openings for two Front Desk Staff Members!

We are seeking one full-time (4-5 shifts/week) and one part-time (1-2 shifts/week) addition to our team of front desk employees. Duties include greeting customers, checking them in and out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling POS transactions, enforcing policies, administrative work such as sign/document creation, pool testing and balancing, facility cleaning, general premises upkeep, problem-solving, troubleshooting, follow-through with assigned duties and the option to opt in to the Equity Work Group. Shifts are arranged as either opening (8am-3:30pm) or closing (3pm-10:30pm) seven days a week. Current shift offerings are: Monday closing, Thursday closing, Saturday opening and/or closing and either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday opening.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills and presence.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Experience scheduling wellness practitioners. Scheduling software experience is a plus.
  • A positive and resourceful attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to stand, move, and do physical tasks.
  • Available to work opening, closing, weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Experience working in a wellness center environment and with wellness modalities.
  • Marketing/outreach/events skillset preferred.
  • Tech savvy
  • Willingness to learn new things, take on new duties, and a can-do, cooperative-minded spirit.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to engage in deep cleaning of tile floors, walls, bathrooms and all areas of the facility with the exclusion of practitioner practice rooms
  • Familiarity and awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles and practices.
  • Commitment to environmental sustainability.

Weekday shifts are paid at a rate of $17.94/hr. Time-and-a-half at a rate of $26.91/hr. is paid for solo front desk work when the bathhouse is open. Shift differential pay is provided at a rate of $20.63/hr. for the following shifts: Friday closing, Saturday and Sunday opening and Saturday and Sunday closing. Any shift differential shifts worked solo are paid at a rate of $30.95/hr. Holidays listed on the front desk google calendar are paid as time-and-a-half ($26.91/hr.). Administrative and Equity Work Group tasks are paid at a rate of $21.00/hr. Tips average $3.86/hour. In order to keep the reception fully staffed, we ask that you pick-up shifts from time to time to fill in for one another’s sick days and PTO. We are open 363 days a year to serve our wellness practitioners and customers.
