Brand Content Manager, Common House Richmond

Position Description :
We are seeking a creative and ambitious Brand Content Manager who’s ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment. Flexibility is key In this role. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects on tight deadlines simultaneously. You’ll act as part copywriter, part graphic designer, part social media manager, and part marketing coordinator, and will be responsible for :
- Photography and Content Creation : In this role, you will be responsible for regularly attending in-person Common House programming and events in order to photograph and post about “Goings On” around the House. This role will also involve taking portraits of staff and members, photographing food / beverage, and coordinating photoshoots as needed.
- Social Media Management : You will be responsible for managing the @commonhouserva Instagram and Facebook communities — from creating copy, image and video content and posting, to regularly messaging and engaging with users online. This position will also help contribute to the Common House’s LinkedIn and Pinterest pages, and report on Social Media and Brand / Comms related updates during weekly All-Team meetings.
- Email Content and Design : Part of our member engagement strategy involves weekly emails, outlining the upcoming “Goings On” Programming events. In this role, you will work closely with the Richmond Programming Manager to draft copy and design for our emails (light coding skills recommended, but not required).
- Programming Descriptions & Photography : Additionally, you’ll work alongside the Programming Team to write event descriptions and source imagery for our weekly events. Once these details are approved, you’ll be tasked with adding all programming details and corresponding imagery to the “Goings On” section of our website / member portal. In the event that we need to create surveys and / or order forms for specific events, we will also lean on you to create those in Paperform or PeopleVine (the platform that manages our member portal).
- Updating Signage and Maintaining Overall Brand : You are the Brand & Communications Team’s eyes and feet on the ground. Therefore, we will rely on you to design, update and display in-House posters, working with a local printer for production. We will also lean on you to help Concierge update the in-House menu templates, as well as making sure all signage meets our brand standards.
- Editorial Assistance : Another part of our member engagement strategy includes interviewing members, staff and various Programming Partners as a part of our Community Focus series. In this role, you will work to interview, photograph, and provide write-ups for this series.
- Miscellaneous : As a fast-growing brand, we need a driven individual who is both excited about the above tasks as well as anything else that may come down the pipeline for Common House Richmond or the larger brand, including helping to support the other Common House locations and their Brand Content Managers. Though we’ve outlined some of the key duties of this role, an exciting number of different tasks will likely be added to this list, and responsibilities may shift as Common House continues to rapidly expand.

This is a Richmond-based, full-time position with an immediate start date. On-site and in-person work is required to create content and document events at Common House Richmond, some of which will be in the evening and on some weekends, with the option to work remotely on graphic design, email design, and other projects.
