Location: Hybrid (Minimum 50% Travel) – Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; New Orleans, LA; Charlotte, NC

Position Summary
The Vice President of New Business Development is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing Common House's strategic portfolio expansion plan. This leader will identify, cultivate, and establish relationships with property developers, real estate advisors, and potential partners to drive market expansion and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue and portfolio growth.
- Identify and prioritize target markets, property developers, and hospitality brokers aligned with Common House's growth goals.
Pipeline Development
- Source and evaluate private social club management opportunities, including new builds, acquisitions, and conversions, with an emphasis on multi-family unit developers.
- Build a robust pipeline of opportunities by networking with developers, owners, and industry leaders.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with property developers, investors, board members, and internal teams.
- Serve as Common House's ambassador at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements.
Proposal & Contract Negotiations
- Lead the preparation and presentation of proposals, pitches, and business cases to potential partners and stakeholders.
- Negotiate management contracts and agreements in collaboration with legal and the leadership team.
Market Research and Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the hospitality sector.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to leadership for decision-making.
Team Management
- Oversee employee experience programs within the expansion vertical, focusing on recognition, onboarding, and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment and smooth transitions for new projects.
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Represent Common House in design communications, ensuring alignment with brand standards and stakeholder input.
- Conduct site visits throughout the construction phase to maintain design integrity and execution.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10 years of leadership experience in new business development, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Established network of potential partners within property development, particularly in multi-family and multi-use projects.
- Proven expertise in business acquisitions and management agreements.
Preferred:
- Experience within the hospitality industry.
- Start-up experience.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and business development.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring a minimum of 50% travel to support existing and new locations. Candidates based in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; New Orleans, LA; or Charlotte, NC are preferred.
