JOB OVERVIEW: CommonHealth Recovery is currently seeking highly qualified Substance Abuse Counselors to join our team and oversee patient care within our programs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in counseling individuals with poly-substance use and co-occurring disorders.
CLINICAL CARE:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions within the scope of your expertise.
- Conduct patient intake assessments in alignment with clinic requirements and best practice standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING:
- Contribute to the development of patient treatment plans.
- Regularly review and assess patient progress towards their treatment goals.
COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:
- Collaborate with the onsite multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure timely delivery of services while maintaining high standards of care and a positive patient experience.
- Attend all required meetings, including staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Manage a patient caseload effectively, ensuring each receives appropriate care.
DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:
- Accurately and promptly enter all relevant treatment information into the electronic health record.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards set by the organization and governing bodies.
- Participate in necessary meetings, including individual and group supervision sessions, as well as quarterly in-service training.

SCHEDULE:
- Part Time Shift: Based on candidate availability.
- Full-Time Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM (10-hour shifts), 38-40 hours/week

QUALIFICATIONS:
- CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, CADC, LCADC, or equivalent licensure.
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience working with clients with substance use disorders (SUD) preferred.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
