About the Role
We are seeking a Per Diem X-Ray Technician to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing in-office X-ray procedures for same-day patient appointments and operating the C-arm as needed. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled radiologic technologist with experience in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role will have the opportunity to support a number of our clinics across the Los Angeles and Long Beach regions. This per diem position offers flexibility while allowing you to contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, following all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
- Process digital images for physician review.
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient scheduling and workflow management to optimize the use of imaging facilities.
- Provide excellent patient care, addressing any concerns related to imaging procedures.
- Operate the C-arm intraoperatively as needed.
- Be available to travel to other Commons Clinic locations (Long Beach, Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica) as needed.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and licensure in the state of California.
- Fluoroscopy certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred.
- Experience with PACS or AMBRA (Picture Archiving & Communication System).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and patient positioning.
- BLS certification preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
