About The Role
Commons Clinic, a busy multi-orthopedic specialty physicians office located in Long Beach, is seeking a dedicated and experienced X-Ray Technician to join our team. The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing in-office X-ray procedures for same-day patient appointments with physicians, ensuring high-quality imaging services are provided efficiently and safely.
What You Will Do
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and following all safety protocols.
- Process X-ray digital images for physician review.
- Maintain accurate records of all imaging procedures and patient data.
- Enter x-ray CPT codes into EMR system for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient scheduling and workflow management to ensure efficient use of the X-ray facilities.
- Provide excellent patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have regarding their X-ray procedures.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a limited licensed Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and licensure in the state of California.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Experience with PACS or AMBRA (picture/imaging archiving system)
- Fluoroscopy certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and patient positioning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality imaging.
- BLS certification preferred.
