Virginia Mason is seeking a BE / BC Neurologist with fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology. Neuromuscular would be a bonus.
Responsibilities
The Outpatient Neurology Department at Virginia Mason consists of 11 Neurologists who care for patients that cover the spectrum of all neurologic disease. As part of the Neurosciences Institute, we integrate care and are co-located with neurosurgery, neuropsychology, neuro-physical medicine and rehabilitation, and the inpatient neuro-hospitalist service. We pride ourselves in creating a collegial and enjoyable work environment that includes bi-monthly journal club, neuro-radiology conference, neurovascular conference, neuro-oncology tumor board, and research with affiliation with the Benaroya Research Institute. As a teaching hospital, we have Internal Medicine residents that rotate, as well as an affiliation with the University of Washington with rotating medical students at our downtown location. Resources include a PhD research program manager, clinical pharmacist, RN case management, and a social worker. This position is outpatient call only. Call is shared between all of the Neurologists.
Qualifications
- BE / BC in Neurology
- Fellowship training in Neurophysiology or Neuromuscular preferred
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
- Ability to read EMG or EEG
- BLS required
