In the newly created position of Director of Security, you will lead the design, development and coordination of activities of the Security staff in protecting the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and physicians. Develops and implements the Security Management Plan, and manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents. Reviews and addresses identified actual and potential security breaches. Designs and conducts security awareness programs.

*Responsibilities*

- Directs the activities of the security department and leads activities of assigned emergency management functions. Prepares, disseminates, and follows up on security assessments.
- Develops and implements Security Management Plan and manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents. Reviews and addresses identified actual and potential security breaches.
- Monitors existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud. Responsible for the development and monitoring of physical and electronic measures.
- Designs and conducts security awareness programs.
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in managing security and safety programs in a healthcare facility.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice, Safety Administration, Emergency Management, or a combination of education and/or job related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Security related training and professional affiliation.
- Current Driver's License issued by the State along with satisfactory DMV report on file or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Knowledge of Life Safety, The Joint Commission (TJC), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (MS), and OSHA regulations and standards.
- Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment.
- Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliant ICS 100HC, 200HC, 700 & 800 courses or state equivalent.
- American Hospital Association compliant CPR BLS within 90 days of employment.
