Responsibilities
Operates cardiac ultrasound equipment to provide and document accurate and quality studies of normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy. Technologist performs adult cardiac ultrasound exams to include M-Mode 2-D Doppler PW CW Color Flow and TEEs. The technologist will provide professional and quality care while following hospital policies procedures and standards. The echo technologist may perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/director; stress tests and clerical assignments. The technologist will be a liaison between the echo department and physicians/staff/outside facilities. Experience and competence in performing Echos in the Pediatric population is desired. This position carries on-call responsibilities when indicated.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Technologist is a Certified Echo Technologist and will maintain Registry status during employment.
- BLS required.
- RG DCS or RG CS required
- Technologist will have a minimum of 2 year experience performing 2-D M-Mode and Color Flow Doppler Echo’s on adults.
- Technologist will have graduated from a Cardiac Echo ultrasound program.
- Technologist will demonstrate Imaging Proficiency Competency.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience and competence in performing Echos on Pediatric patients
