Responsibilities
As a Laboratory Technical Consultant, you will provide technical and scientific oversight for the clinical or pathology laboratory department, ensuring compliance with regulations, quality standards, and best practices. This role oversees laboratory personnel and operations across multiple sections, playing a key part in maintaining high-quality patient care through accurate testing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee laboratory personnel and daily operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide technical and scientific leadership within the clinical or pathology laboratory department.
- Verify test procedures, monitor quality control, and ensure proficiency testing compliance.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including supplies, equipment, and consumables.
- Identify and resolve technical issues while implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure patient test results are reported only when testing systems are functioning properly.
- Serve as a Technical Consultant under CLIA regulations, ensuring staff competency and training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical or biological science as defined by CLIA.
- 2 years of clinical lab experience in the designed lab area/specialty
- CLS:CA
- Skilled multi-tasker, clear communicator, and active listener who knows the right questions in order to understand the teams’ needs.
Preferred Licensure and certifications:
- MT or CLS or MLS certification, ASCP or equivalent
