Responsibilities
Oversees patient transportation services to ensure efficient logistics and appropriate use of resources for admissions, discharges, transfers, and ancillary services, maintaining smooth patient flow throughout the medical center. Evaluates and determines the most cost-effective, efficient, and safe transportation methods for both patients and services.
Contributes to the development of administrative policies, procedures, tactical plans, and programs within the medical center. Monitors patient and customer satisfaction, addressing complaints with timely resolutions and implementing preventive measures to enhance service quality. Leads recruitment and retention efforts, fostering a motivated, skilled team focused on high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum
Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field required. 2 years supervisory experience required.
Education
Bachelor's degree required or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
Skills
Experience in Microsoft Office. Experience with hospital scheduling software such as One Staff.
Preferred/Desired
Five years of hospital staffing experience preferred. 3 years management experience preferred. One year working with healthcare travel agencies preferred.
