About the Role:
As a Market HR Director, you'll be a vital member of the operational leadership team, aligning HR strategies with business objectives within a designated market. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing evidence-based guidance on a wide range of HR-related issues, including employee relations, labor relations, performance management, training, policy application, organizational development, workforce planning, and compensation.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Partner: Collaborate with market leadership to understand business direction and develop HR strategies that support key goals.
- Employee Advocate: Foster a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns and promoting equitable resolutions.
- Labor Relations Expert: Provide guidance to management on policy interpretation and collective bargaining agreements, partnering with our Employee/Labor Relations Center of Expertise.
- Performance & Leadership Coach: Empower leaders and team members through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Culture Champion: Integrate CommonSpirit Health's mission, vision, and values into daily practices, fostering a culture of engagement and support.
- CoE Collaborator: Partner with our Centers of Expertise to identify and implement innovative HR solutions that drive operational performance.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience as an HR leader, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Deep understanding of employment law, employee relations, and labor relations.
- Experience coaching and developing leaders at all levels.
- A passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Change agent and champion for new HR initiatives and programs.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 7 years HR or leadership experience OR minimum of 10 years HR or leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree (With relevant experience; equivalent education and/or experience; experience through certifications.)
- HR experience should encompass generalist experience or at least 2 or more areas of specialty, e.g., compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, talent acquisition, etc.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated employee relations experience with a working knowledge of recruitment, training delivery, benefits and compensation theory/administration.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
