Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The incumbent provides social services to patient and/or family in accordance with physicians orders. The incumbent also acts as a consultant to the healthcare team and helps them better understand significant social and emotional factors as they affect the treatment plan.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Social Sciences degree or a related field required
- One (1) year of experience in social work required.
- BLS Certification through AHA required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work
- Two (2) years of acute care hospital experience required (or a combination of hospital and other experience which provides for ability to fulfill the duties of this position)
