Responsibilities
As a PeriOp Nurse you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient care.
Essential Duties:
- Observe, collect, analyze and record data related to a patient's biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and self care ability.
- Analyzes assessment data to formulate a nursing diagnosis. Measures progress toward attainment of patient outcomes and goals.
- Implements an age appropriate plan of care in conjunction with the physician patient patient's family and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team.
- Administers medication to ensure patient safety.
- Demonstrates principals of care relating to phase 1-3 Recovery.
Shift: 8am - 6:30pm
Core Schedule: Week 1 Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri; Week 2 Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri
Qualifications
License/Certifications:
- State of Oregon RN License
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Experience:
- 2 years acute care experience
- Pre/PostOp/PACU experience in the last 6 months
Education:
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- BSN preferred
