Responsibilities
Position Summary:
- This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Operating Room under the direction of Surgical Services.
- In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Operating Room SPD Technician is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her contribution toward the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- One year of full time experience as a central service technician.
- Six months experience in processing and assembly of surgical instruments.
- Experience requirement may be waived for individuals who have successfuly completed a Central Services Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Central Service Technician certification by a recognized Central Service Organization.
- CT CST or CT SPT required.
