Responsibilities
Delivers care and performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic care that may result from the intrusion of anesthetic agents and techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit.
REGISTERED NURSES will render professional nursing care to patients, support medical care as
directed by physicians. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrat behavior consistent with the Core Values. The RN shall support Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Six months of Critical Care nursing experience
Education:
- ASN or Nursing Diploma, required
License/Registration/Certification:
- Current and active CA RN license.
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification from American Heart Association
- PALS Certification required within 6 months of employment
Preferred:
- Three (3) years of Critical Care nursing experience
- PACU or Critical Care certification (CPAN or CCRN) preferred
- BSN preferred
