Committed to providing the highest level of patient satisfaction our 32-Bed Medical-Surgical-Oncology-Telemetry unit, that includes 12 monitored beds, provides unique cross-training opportunities for both experienced and new graduate nurses within this one unit.
Outstanding teamwork with low turnover, this unit provides nurses the opportunity to work 12 hour shifts with nurse to patient ratios of 1:4 on days/nights with a Clinical Leader to provide support throughout both shifts. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
Responsibilities
JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients to perform patient related care tasks (direct care bathing oral carefeeding).
- Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides direct patient care under supervisionof Nurse.
- Obtains and records patient vital signs.
- Monitors and performsactions to decrease patient length of stay
- Assists Physician/Nurse with diagnostic tests clinical procedures and other tasks asrequested.
- Communicates patient needs and observed/reported changes in patient condition tosupervising Nurse or Physician.
- Documents all interactions in patient's medical record.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Completion of nursing assistant program or EMT program or completion of first block of nursing program.
- AZ Certified Nursing Assistant or LicensedNursing Assistant OR AZ EMT license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
