The Physical Therapist Assistant is a skilled technical worker who performs physical therapy treatments and related duties as assigned by the Physical Therapist.  This work is carried out under the direction and assistance of the Physical Therapist.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Assists clients to reach his/her maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.
• Coordinates Physical Therapy efforts with those of other departments and maintains open communications and good working relations.
• Follows facility policies and procedures and appropriately interprets them.
• Remains clinically proficient in routine work duties of the department.
• Carries out functions as needed for clerical support for department.
• Member of or eligible for membership in APTA

Completion of accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

PTA:MN - Licensed by State of Minnesota (PTA)

AUTO:MN - valid driver’s license

AUTO-INS - MN valid auto insurance

BLS-CPR certification
