*Responsibilities*
*Essential Key Job Responsibilities*
* *Assumes responsibility for the Environment of Care (EOC), Life (Fire) Safety (LS)and Emergency Management (EM) programs at assigned facilities*
* *Maintains inspection records and findings for EOC, LS and EM programs; provides suggestions for improvement to all programs*
* *Leads assigned facilities Safety (EOC) and EM Committees; schedules and leads meetings; maintains appropriate documentation*
* *Leads in-house training with leadership and employees about environmental health and safety issues*
* *Carries out environmental safety accident investigations on site and produces subsequent reports and recommendations to appropriate leadership*
* *Plans practical and effective methods of promoting health and environmental safety and safe working practices*
* *Functions as a liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations*
* *Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs and continuing educations programs.*
*Other duties as assigned by management*
*Qualifications*
Minimum Qualifications Required Education For Staff Job Levels
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Safety, Emergency Management, or related field –OR- three years of equivalent experience in the field
*Required Licensure and Certifications*
None Required
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge of safety strategies; excellent time management and communication skills; ability to present complex issues in understandable manner; fluent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED Qualifications
CHSP; CHEP
*Pay Range*
$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
