Senior Housekeeper - Environmental Services
St. John’s Regional Medical Center
St. John’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Disinfection and sterilization of patient rooms, operating rooms, and other hospital areas.
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Emptying trash and biohazard waste.
- Replenishing supplies and linens.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Train and mentor new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Assist with developing and implementing new cleaning protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- 5 years acute healthcare experience as an EVS Tech.
- Ability to converse/comprehend/communicate verbally in English.
- Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, patients and visitors.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.
- Ability to work as needed at both campuses.
- Ability to participate in staff development training.
- Ability to participate in quality control program
