Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) Director the employee is responsible for varied duties within the Cancer Resource Center. The Support Services Coordinator supports the French Hospital Medical Center mission of wellness health and healing. The Coordinator carries out the duties of the position in a manner that exemplifies the Dignity Health and French Hospital core service values of Dignity Justice Collaboration Excellence and Stewardship. The Coordinator is a vital member of the HCRC team that supports the center's mission to help persons with cancer learn about the disease recognize opportunity for improved health provide direction and support through all phases of cancer care. Duties include: executing all community cancer lectures and workshops details planning and support helps develop event communication materials handles all data entry functions provide administrative and secretarial support within the HCRC referring patient to appropriate staff members within our organization networking with community agencies provide information and education related to oncology topics either within the HCRC or within the community participate in community outreach programs and support the execution of a bi-monthly newsletter.
Qualifications
Minimum
One year clerical / customer service experience within a medical related environment
N/A
Proficient in data collection and report preparation for monthly and quarterly reports
Proficient in word and data processing programs including Excel Word Publisher PowerPoint and Outlook and Google
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Medical and cancer terminology
Electronic Medical records experience
Layout and design experience preferred
