Responsibilities
In keeping with the CommonSpirit Health core values the Surgical Technologist II is to function as a team member during the preoperative intra-operative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Completion of Surgical Technologist training.
- Completion of Certification as Surgical Technologist.
- Surgical Technologist certification required. CST or TS-C.
- BLS certification required.
- Demonstrates proficiency in five (5) specialties including but not limited to:
Urology
GYN
ENT
Orthopedics/Podiatry
Robots
General
Plastics
Pain Management procedures
Vascular
Neurosurgery
Thoracic Surgery
Cardiac Surgery
Ophthalmology - Demonstrates ability to serve as a preceptor and role model for new Surgical Technologist staff and Surgical Technologist students during their clinical rotations.
