Project Management:
- Manages engineering design-related aspects of substation projects.
- Coordinates technical aspects of site development projects.
- Makes project engineering execution decisions within applicable policies and standards.
- Manages engineering schedule and budget performance.
- Designs and oversees site grading, pavement, landscaping, and site utilities.
- Develops drawing packages using AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation & OpenRoads.
- Coordinates civil site design with other disciplines.
- Reviews and incorporates client-specific design standards.
- Oversees the collection, assimilation, and management of data for site development.
- Analyzes and assists CAD support in formatting topographic survey data.
- Reviews local zoning ordinances to develop site layouts.
- Assists in obtaining permits through federal, state, county & local authorities.
- Ensures compliance with company quality programs.
- Attends and leads internal and external client meetings, communications, and conference calls.
- Works closely with designers, engineers, and project managers.
- Assists in the review of RFI’s, contractor submittals, and shop drawings.
- Designs and oversees the detail of temporary and permanent BMPs for construction and stormwater management.
- Assists in obtaining permits for storm, sanitary, water main, SESC, and floodplain work.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent ABET accredited degree.
- Experience in civil land development in the commercial, industrial, governmental or aviation sectors.
- Occasional flexibility in work hours to meet project deadlines required.
- Construction experience is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Able to interface and perform in a team based environment and individually.
- Ability to travel to meetings and client sites throughout the United States.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and AutoCAD or Microstation based programs.
- Minimum of three years of experience in creating surfaces, alignments, profiles, and plan production utilizing Civil 3D or OpenRoads.
