We recently acquired Good Foods Grocery to create a Social Enterprise model around programming and retail.

Position Overview : The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall marketing strategy for both the nonprofit (Commonwealth Autism) and the grocery store (Good Foods Grocery). This role will ensure all marketing efforts align with our mission, build awareness of our cause, and promote our products and services. The director will lead the marketing team, manage budgets, analyze performance metrics, and oversee both digital and local advertising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning & Development : Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for both the nonprofit (CA) and grocery store (GFG) that align with organizational goals, values, and mission.Branding Management : oversee the creation and management of CAs and GFGs brand identities, ensuring consistent and compelling brand messaging across all marketing materials, advertising, and communications. This includes collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to update and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.Content Management : Oversee the creation and management of content across all platforms (social media, website, print, email) to ensure it is engaging, consistent with brand voice, and reflects the mission of the organization.Budget Management : Manage the marketing budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure the strategic distribution of funds across various channels.Team Leadership : Lead, manage, and provide direction to the marketing team and support staff. Set priorities, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship. Work to support all other departments initiatives to execute a cohesive marketing message.Vendor & Partner Coordination : Coordinate with external vendors and partners for marketing materials, advertisements, and campaigns.Performance Analysis : Analyze KPIs, digital performance metrics, and goals to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.Advertising Management : Oversee digital and local print / radio advertisements, ensuring they are aligned with organizational objectives and reach target audiences effectively.HubSpot Management : Manage HubSpot tools for marketing automation, email campaigns, and customer donor relationship management (CRM), creating training and SOPs for how the company utilizes this tool.Community Engagement Management : Oversee the community engagement initiatives with community partners and local organizations to amplify brand awareness and mission-driven initiatives.Skills & Qualifications :
Proven leadership experience with a focus on marketing strategy and team management.Strong background in marketing for both nonprofit organizations and retail businesses (social enterprise marketing preferred).Proficiency in graphic design and branding, with experience in creating visual content.Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of budgeting and resource allocation.Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences across multiple platforms.Experience with digital marketing tools, including social media management, HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEO, and website development.Familiarity with advertising (both digital and traditional), including print, radio, and digital platforms.Knowledge of nonprofit sector marketing trends and challenges, particularly in the context of social enterprises and inclusivity.Passion for the mission of supporting individuals with autism and making a positive social impact.
