Business Bank (BB) offer a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium enterprise customers.
Your Team
Small Business Banking (SBB) is primarily responsible for the origination and retention of new to bank and existing clients. With a range of solutions for businesses including, but not limited to, commercial lending and asset finance. Clients are sourced from accredited intermediaries. This role will be based in our Brisbane office with flexible working options.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, as a Business Banker, you will be expected to:
- Position the Bank to win new business and support the development of client relationships, delivering on CBA purpose to Build a brighter future for all.
- Engage and collaborate with specialists to deliver the most appropriate tailored financial solutions.
- Negotiate commercial terms of transactions with clients via business intermediaries and oversee progress of deal execution through to conclusion ensuring timely and efficient delivery to meet clients’ expectations and requirements.
- Maintain close liaison with Risk Management, promoting an in depth understanding of the client, industry and transaction specifics to maximise efficiency in the lending process.
- Build a network of local internal and external stakeholders and business intermediaries to assist the origination of new business, new clients and the gathering of competitive intelligence.
Success in this role will require
- Solid small business lending experience, client analysis and credit origination.
- Strong relationships with Brokers and Intermediaries with a passion for enhancing our Broker referrers experience with the Bank
- Relentless pursuit of excellence in execution for our valued referral partners
- Ability to collaborate within and contribute to a high performing team environment.
- Effective communication, time management skills and ability to prioritise.
- Extensive knowledge of bank products and financial services products and services.
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or a related field are desirable.
