As a part of Risk Technology team, you will design, develop, test and should be able to support the data engineering pipelines built using Ab Initio on AWS cloud. You will work on batch and continuous flows, and be able to provide support for productionised jobs, diagnose the production issues and fix them as well. 

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

• Ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks

• Constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex data-centric problems

• Are knowledgeable and have solid hands-on experience of designing, developing and supporting ETL data pipelines using Ab Initio.

• Pride themselves on their understanding of software engineering principles, with experience on at least one of the programming languages – Python or Java.

• Are confident and have experience of working in Agile-Scrum teams led by Product Owners, delivering outcomes in sprints.

• Interface with multiple stakeholders, work with wider team of engineers, Product Owners, Chapter Leads and have good experience in DevOps.
   

Tech skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks, which means our data engineer should have diversified strengths and broad range of skillsets.

We do not expect you to have all of these, but having significant experience and exposure with in some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this role;

• ETL and Data management applications – Abinitio (batch and continuous flows, Business rules engine BREs).

• AWS Cloud.

• Algo credit manager – SSCM

• SQL Server, Oracle, PostGres

• CI/CD concepts and ability to create pipelines in Jenkins, Teamcity, Ab Initio EME

• Coding - Python, Java, Scala

• Integration, knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka

• DevOps and production support.
