What are the responsibilities and job description for the SBA Loan Officer position at Commonwealth Business B?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The SBA Loan Officer underwrites and processes new loan requests.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports credit lending decisions by analyzing SBA loan request, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of SBA loans
- Ensures all information is accurate and complete. All guidelines, policies and procedures, and regulation are to be followed
- Creates financial spreadsheets and analyze, structure and underwrite loans
- Develops cash flow from tax returns
- Originates loans from application to closing and work closely with Escrow, Title and all parties involved
- Monitors and report delinquencies
- Performs periodic portfolio maintenance
- Prepares loan compliance reports
- Timely collection of financial updates
- Conducts site visitation
- Manages new and existing clients
- Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of credit analysis
- Ability to work on multiple loans simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Effective written, verbal and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all types of customers
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SBA
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year University
