The Product Strategist I plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives for the future of products and services at Commonwealth Credit Union. Through ongoing research and collaboration with various Credit Union teams, they must demonstrate an in-depth understanding and effective analysis of industry trends and member needs.
They communicate and collaborate with Operations, Training, Information Technology areas, and other Credit Union teams to expand product and service offerings and drive scalable growth based on the Credit Union’s Strategic Plan. They assist the AVP of Product Management in the development of innovative ideas and solutions and communicating these to others, as needed.
This role requires the individual to represent Commonwealth Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner. This individual must also work effectively under stress and be able to meet tight deadlines.

The duties and responsibilities of the Product Strategist I include, but are not limited to:
- Scoping products and refining ideas to support member and business needs.
- Presenting recommendations for enhancements or new product offerings and assisting with the maintenance and execution of the Credit Union's product roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Effectively supporting the Credit Union's strategic plan, growth goals, and organizational key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contributing to the monitoring of product lifecycle management dashboard and regularly analyzing and measuring the performance of a product or service using metrics such as revenue, retention, conversion, and member satisfaction.
- Prioritizing high-value products and making recommendations for appropriate enhancements, terminations, and consolidations.
- Assessing the current state of the Credit Union's products and related technologies to identify improvement opportunities and help lead the research and development process for new products or product enhancements.
- Utilizing internal, industry, and third-party data to surface valuable insights in the research process.
- Collaborating with designers, developers, and testers to ensure the product or service meets the expected deadlines.
- Regularly interacting and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication, collaboration, and building relationships.
- Engaging others by understanding expectations, needs, and soliciting feedback.
- Proactively informing necessary team members about current and future development progress, needs, and goals.
