What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co-op Student Teller position at Commonwealth CU?

Our Co-op Student Tellers serve as our front-line staff, working with our members to meet their financial needs. They greet our members as they enter the branch, process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and a variety of other tasks.
They consistently provide quality member service. They accurately and efficiently perform financial transactions affecting the accounts or loans of CCU members. They maintain acceptable cash/negotiable balancing standards and examine checks for endorsements and other features. They follow internal controls to safeguard credit union funds and assets, organize work and maintain accurate records. They maintain knowledge of credit union products and services to confidently support credit union sales efforts.
The duties of a Teller include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately and efficiently performing financial transactions affecting the share accounts or loan accounts of CCU members.
- Maintaining acceptable cash and negotiable balancing standards.
- Examining checks for endorsements and other features.
- Following internal controls to safeguard credit union funds and assets.
- Organizing work and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintaining knowledge of credit union products and services to confidently support credit union sales efforts.
