The Community Outreach Representative is our Business Development team's representative between the branches and the communities we serve. They are knowledgeable in branch operations like our Financial Service Representatives (FSRs) and are able to open accounts when out in the communities.
The duties and responsibilities of a Community Outreach Representative include, but are not limited to:
- Attending chamber of commerce activities, business association events, business development tabling events and new member orientations within the assigned region.
- Working actively with Business Development team to obtain leads and meet sales goals for assigned region.
- Maintaining strong relationships with regional managers, branch managers, and other key team members to establish and achieve business development and credit union goals.
- Coordinating strategic plans and outreach strategies with the branches.
- Working with business development manager, branch managers, and regional managers to determine events and activities where CCU is represented.
- Tracking all activities to determine effectiveness, based on investment (money and time) and community impact.
- Obtaining Financial Education certification from the Credit Union's Financial Education Department.
- Presenting on financial education when needed.
This is a field position with branch assignments.
This position is active in nature. It requires the lifting and/or carrying of materials, displays, and other objects (no more than 30 lbs.). Work locations will vary between an office setting and off-site events, which could be located outdoors. A certain degree of walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling will be necessary, especially during Business Development events.
Availability to work at events scheduled for after hours and on weekends is a requirement of this role.
