Position Summary:
The Designer III will be able to create a model from customer or GC supplied model. Import Commonwealth content to have a working electrical model. Supervise other Designers assigned to project. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Layout electrical equipment for field installation
- Coordinate field installation drawings with project foremen
- Create 3D models utilizing Autodesk Revit
- Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
- Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit
- Attend weekly coordination meetings with project team members
- Lead and supervise other Designers assigned to projects

- All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
- Thorough knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
- Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
- Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience:
- At least 6 years relevant experience with progressive responsibilities including team management.
- Associates degree in 3D Modeling OR journeyman electrician license preferred.
