Job Description :
Commonwealth Engineers is seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist to join our award-winning engineering design and consulting firm. The candidate must be a self-starter willing to grow with our company. Applicant must be adaptable and willing to work in a performance and deadline-driven environment and a team setting. Training will be made available for specific duties.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare permit applications
- Prepare environmental reports as required by funding agencies
- Evaluate sites for potential wetland / stream mitigation
- Prepare water quality plans as required by drinking water and / or wastewater regulatory programs
- Execute / track target marketing activities
- Prepare technical reports, memorandums, and graphics
- Perform environmental resource planning including historic / architectural resources, wetlands, surface waters, groundwater, floodway and floodplain, plants and animals, soils, farmland impacts
- Effectively communicate environmental findings and permitting needs to engineering staff
- Other duties as assigned
