Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all orders are received and shipped in good condition. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility will be to handle the movement, storage, and organization of goods within the facility. You will work closely with a team of warehouse personnel and you will be their point of contact. As Warehouse Supervisor for Commonwealth Equipment, you will collaborate within your team to support our small but growing company of nearly 85 employees. Duties/Responsibilities
· Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
· Unload, inspect, and count items to ensure accuracy and quality of received products.
· Prepare and stage orders for outgoing shipments, ensuring that items are properly packed, labeled, and documented.
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and store products safely.
· Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and updating the inventory management system.
· Organize and arrange products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization and ensure efficient accessibility.
· Assist in conducting regular physical inventories and participate in periodic audits.
· Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations, and report any hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, dusting, and removing debris.
· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for warehouse operations.
· Manage warehouse department
Required Skills/Abilities
· Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
· Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
· Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (valid certification is a plus).
· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in inventory management.
· Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
