Job Summary:
Register new patients, schedule all patient appointments and phone handling responsibilities as well as cloud computing work and checking patients out after office visit.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years minimum experience in medical practice.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns.
- Well-organized with attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Appointment Scheduling
- Daily review of schedule status for the remainder of the week and the following two weeks.
- Schedule all appointments with the appropriate physician to ensure top quality care to patients.
- Confirm appointments daily.
- Cancel and reschedule appointments, as necessary.
- Responsible for sending referring doctors letters and post operative communications
- Assist patients in obtaining authorizations or referrals that have not been received by the practice.
- Phone Duties
- Participant in front office call work group answering phone calls
- Take phone messages or forward calls
- Miscellaneous Duties
- Responsible for patient check-in, co-pay collection and proper registration processing
- Responsible for sending out letters to referring doctors from patient visits
- Responsible for post-operative reporting follow up and data collection
- Prepare office intake forms for practice appointments
- Prepare and collate packets for surgical packets supplied to patients for surgery
- Release of records
- Manage incoming correspondence through both fax and other electronic formats
- Assist in general office duties, as needed. Perform other duties, as required.
- Clinic hours are usually 7:30AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday-Friday.

Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
